We really had a blast to shoot out first elopement inside & outside the church of the churches of Iceland the black church of Budir on Snaefellsnes peninsula in west iceland.
Maybe you know that our major future elopement & wedding location will be budir due to our cooperation with swiss travel agency Island Tours and local islandic wedding planner agency Pink Iceland.
As the Snaefellesnes peninsula has it all – its often described as „Iceland en-miniature“ as it has waterfalls, vulcanos & glaciers and beaches & cliffs – and its reachable within a 2.5 hours drive from the capital city of Reykjavik we have decided to make it our major location for elopements and intimate weddings as well as any other kind of photoshoots in Iceland.
We already have been shooting our winter elopement at budir but only outside we used the black church as a beautiful backdrop for our images but never had the chance before to capture images inside the church. Therefore we were really excited as our couple approach us and told us that the had the permission to do their elopement in the church itself.
Near by the church is the beautiful Hotel Budir which we used to meet up with our couple before their elopement. After exchanging their vows in the black church we of course used the black church as backdrop before we headed over to the beach of Budir which is very lovely one with white sand and black rocks. Afterwards we drove up to Arnarstapi to take images of our couple at the second very unique and famous sight of Snaefellsnes the bridge at Arnarstapi. But have look youself:))
