A. & A. are living and working in Iceland but until the day we meet with them to take stunning images in the epic landscape of Iceland they never had the change to be photographed in Iceland – they always took landscape images of course of Iceland or selfies while exploring Iceland in their free time but never had the chance to get professional images of themselves as a couple therefore they we very excited to meet up with us at „THE“ location in Iceland, at „THE“ Mountain of Iceland the Kirkjufell which we had choosen for them to be their photoshoot location for the couplephotoshoot with us.
Despite the fact that Kirkjufell & Kirkjufellfossar are very popular sighseeing and photoshoot locations you have the chance to be nearly alone over there if you start later in the afternoon & evening which we did of course. All the cars & busses touring their from Reykajvik approach the loaction around noon or a little earlier or later.
Being there around midsommar the sun never reall sleeps and you can even take images around midnight (which we did last summer…) – if it has clear sky. We really had luck with the islandic weather it was absolutely fabulous at our shooting day – blue skies all over and only a light wind blowing (you always have wind in Iceland – its an Island and a day over there with only a light wind is something very very special nornally it blowes you away if you step outside a house or your car anyway:))
We startet at the bay right underneath the Kirkjufell to be all alone and then we headed over to the Kirkjufellfossar (there were even people bathing in the waterfalls – which we photoshopped out afterwards of course – but that has been a good sign for a very warm summer day in Iceland – as it were tourists bathing – icelandic people are up for a swim the whole year around anyway and are not really a benchmark for cold or warm conditions:))
