It has been a very unique and special day for us – we were not only engaged as wedding photographers but also as witnesses.
Our international couple – the bride is from the US, the groom is Italian but they meet in lovely Switzerland and are now living near Basel – decided to go for a very intimate civil elopement by only the two of them as they wanted this special day only for themselves.
We started in the morning with the preparations of the bride at a local hairdressed followed by the „first look“ of bride and groom out in the street in the old town.
The civil registration took place at Zivilstandsamt Basel Stadt near the Munster followed by an extended photoshoot at places in Basel City which played a prominent role in the love story of our bride and groom.
For the second part of our photohoot we moved outside Basel were the couple is currently living at an absolutely stunning place – a royal & private residence – Bäumlihof in Riehen.
The couple ended the first part of their very special day with a tea-time in their lovely royal garden and we left them on their own as they really looked forward to their candle light dinner at their favorite restaurant in the evening to celebrate their union.
